All tourists are invited to join Thai people for the New Year celebrations at the "Sang Thien Haeng Siam" (Candlelight of Siam) event, a traditional candle lighting and prayer ceremony, on 31 December 2016, starting from 19.00 hours at Bangkok’s Sanam Luang.  Similar activities will be organised at Thai temples and ceremonial grounds across Thailand.
