Thailand in Focus :: Bloomberg News ranks Thailand 1st in World Happiness Survey

The fate of 51 economies (including the euro area) this year, based on Bloomberg calculations of what's known as the "misery index." Inflation and unemployment, two factors that make consumers unhappy, are remarkably low in the 15 countries, according to economists surveyed by Bloomberg News. According to the survey, Thailand, the Land of Smiles, has received the lowest score on the misery index, and therefore the top spot on Bloomberg's happiest list with an unemployment rate of just 0.6 per cent and one of the lowest inflation rates in Asia.
