The Government restated its emphasis throughout the period on providing peace and security, as well as reducing social inequality. The PM, General Prayut Chan-O-Cha, said the results showed the progress of the government's actions in various areas, especially in keeping peace and order and preventing violence in the country; such as by implementing a solution to eliminate the violence in three provinces in Southern Thailand, by inviting greater participation of the local population in re-establishing peace.

Regarding difficulties concerning the economic well-being of the people, General Prayut pointed out that the government is now trying to implement measures to relieve people's concerns such as helping the farmers, promoting low-interest loans and closely monitoring the cost of consumer products

Problems which have caused concerns, such as human trafficking and illegal fishing operations, are also being resolved by the introduction of specific measures, including the registration and certification of fishing vessels, as well as the establishment of twenty Monitoring, Control and Surveillance Command Centers on Fishing Activities, throughout the country.

Measures to boost the economy over the long-term are also being executed, both internally and internationally with a focus on building ties focusing on trade with foreign countries. Thailand is now promoting cooperation with its neighbors in the ASEAN region, to pursue developments such as its double track railway projects with China and Japan.
