Thailand in Focus :: 4th medical team from Thailand deployed to Nepal

A fourth medical team from Thailand has traveled to Nepal to help those affected by the devastating quake and restore the health care system. 

According to Public Health Emergency Bureau Director Anurak Amornphetsathaporn, the latest medical team consists of four doctors, five nurses, four public health experts and one resuscitator. The nurses come from all over the country, including the provinces of Ratchaburi, Khon Kaen, Nakhon Sawan, Phuket and Nakhon Ratchasima. 

The fourth team led by Dr. Surachai Kiatchaipiphat will set up two health service points in Siphaghat and Chandani districts. They will also carry out other tasks deemed necessary by the Nepalese government and the World Health Organization. 

Their primary objective is to provide medical attention, step up disease prevention measures and restore the health care system in Nepal. They are expected to stay in the country for 14 days.
