Honda Automobile (Thailand) has commenced parts production at its new plant in Rojana Industrial Park, Prachin Buri on 9 October as one of the most technologically advanced and most eco-friendly automobile assembly plants of Honda in Asia. The new Honda Assembly Plant adopted state-of-the-art production innovations being used at Yorii Plant in Japan which was designed with the concept of 'Producing the Cleanest Products at the Cleanest Plant'.
 
Initially, the new plant has begun operation of the Polymer Injection (PO) line to manufacture front console for complete assembly of Honda City and Honda Jazz at Honda Assembly Plant in Rojana Industrial Park, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya. In addition, it will soon produce polymer injection parts (CKD) to be exported to other Honda assembly plants in Asia and Oceania. The PO injection line at this plant has a production capacity of over 360,000 pieces per annum.
 
Pitak Pruittisarikorn, chief operating officer of Honda Automobile (Thailand), said, "Honda is now ready to start operation at our second plant in Prachinburi. It initially begins with operation of the Polymer Injection (PO) line. In the near future, it will run full operation, including engine production and CBU assembly. This new plant is one of the most technologically advanced and eco-friendly plants in the region. It efficiently shortens the time used in every process of production, from body welding and paint work to final assembly of the vehicles as well as introduction of recycled water system to every production process for water saving."
