Thailand earned a record THB2,676.67 million from on-location film shoots, January to October this year, according to the Ministry of Tourism and Sports’ Thailand Film Office Department update released Monday.

For the first 10 months of the year, 585 documentaries, advertising slots, TV series and music videos were filmed on location generating THB2,676.67 million in tourism related revenue compared to 631 productions and THB1,934.18 million during the same period last year.

The 585 productions were categorised as 270 advertising spots/public relations, 140 documentaries, 52 featured films, 47 music videos, 46 television programmes, 14 TV series, nine game show/reality, five Sensitive content TV programme and two from others.
