PM meets ambassadors and consuls-general worldwide for policy briefing
Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha on Friday met with Thai diplomats stationed around the world for a briefing on Thailand's policies and guidelines to boost its economy. A total of 98 Thai ambassadors and consuls-general attended a meeting hosted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on the topic of "Proactive diplomacy to move forward Thailand's economy." The meeting was held for the second time this year, as it focused on the country's economic issues. Prime Minister Prayut presided over the opening ceremony to hand down guidelines and policies to the attending diplomats. The conference emphasized the promotion of economic diplomacy to increase Thailand’s competitiveness, specifically its small and medium enterprises (SMEs). It also covered the development of special economic zones, as well as the use of science, technology and innovation to support the digital economy.
