On 9-10 July 2019, H.E. Mrs. Ureerat Chareontoh, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the Czech Republic, made an official visit to Brno. In this regard, the Ambassador paid a courtesy call on H.E. Mr. Bohumil Simek, Governor of the South Moravian Region (SMR), and had an introductory meeting with Mgr. Cenek Absolon, Director of Brno Regional Chamber of Commerce. Opportunities to expand and deepen economic and scientific cooperation between Thailand and SMR in potential areas namely investment in hi-technology industry, new-generation automotive, robotics, digital economy, innovation, best practices and experiences in Industry 4.0, academic institution and R&D were discussed. On this occasion, the Ambassador also visited the Central European Institute of Technology (CEITEC) and Nano Technology Research Infrastructure at Brno University of Technology in order to seek opportunities and possibilities to strengthen and expand scientific cooperation between Thailand and the Czech Republic.
