On 12 April 2019, Mr. Marc S. Ellenbogen, President of the Prague Society for International Cooperation, and Mr. Michael Stimson, member of the board of the Prague Society, paid a courtesy call on H.E. Mrs. Ureerat Chareontoh, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand, to introduce the society, members, and to discuss potential cooperation between the Society and the Embassy in the future.
Prague Society for International Cooperation is a non-governmental organisation (NGO) which worked with dissidents during the mid-70's onward and then asked for recognition as an NGO in 1995. The Prague Society finally became a registered NGO in 1997. Its main aims are to promote international cooperation in Central Europe, create and maintain a network of businessmen, diplomats, politicians and academics, who contribute to important policy issues. Moreover, Prague Society, in partnership with the Global Panel Foundation, presents the Hanno R. Ellenbogen Citizenship Award which honors dedication to and achievement in public service, particularly in Central and Eastern Europe.
