Velvyslanec Thajského království v České republice H.E. pan Narong Sasitorn byl dne 29. listopadu 2017 přizván v Praze k osvědčení podpisu "Generální dohody o akademické spolupráci mezi Univerzitou Chulalongkorn a Anglo-americkou Univerzitou". Dohodu podepsal pan Petr Jan Pajas, Prezident Anglo-americké univerzity (AAU) a bude zaslána do Bangkoku k podepsání Presidentem Univerzity Chulalongkorn.

Anglo-americká univerzita byla založena v roce 1990. Jedná se o nejstarší soukromou vysokoškolskou instituci v České republice. Tvoří ji 5 fakult, jmenovitě Žurnalistická fakulta, Fakulta humanitních a společenských věd, Právnická fakulta, Fakulta mezinárodních vztahů a diplomacie a  Fakulta obchodní administrativy a nabízí 12 balalářských a tři magisterské programy, stejně tak jako postgraduální studium MBA nebo LL.M. Výuka probíhá v angličtině. V současnosti studuje na univerzitě 990 studentů více než 70ti národností, většina je ze Spojených států amerických, České republiky a Ruské federace. Z východní a jihovýchodní Asie jsou nejvíce zastoupeni studenti z Vietnamu a Korejské republiky.

On 29 November 2017, H.E. Mr. Narong Sasitorn, Ambassador of Thailand to the Czech Republic, was invited to witness the signing of the “General Agreement regarding Academic Cooperation between Chulalongkorn University and Anglo-American University” in Prague.  The Agreement was signed by Mr. Petr Jan Pajas, President of the Anglo-American University (AAU) and will be sent to Bangkok to be counter-signed by the President of Chulalongkorn University.

The AAU was founded in 1990.  It is the oldest private institution of higher education in the Czech Republic.  It comprises five schools of study, namely Schools of Journalism, Humanities and Social Science, Law, International Relations and Diplomacy, and Business Administration, and offers 12 Bachelor’s and three Master’s degrees as well as MBA and LL.M.  Courses are provided in English.  Currently, there are about 990 students over 70 nationalities enrolled in the AAU, most of whom are from the United States, Czech Republic and Russian Federation.  The largest student representation from East and Southeast Asia is from Vietnam and Republic of Korea.
