On 25 April 2017, the Thai Trade Office in Prague, in collaboration with the Royal Thai Embassy and the Office of Tourism Authority of Thailand, actively participated in the HOREKA Congress. HOREKA is an annual conference and trade fair held for the hotel, restaurant and catering businesses in the Czech Republic. 

This year, Thailand took part in the HOREKA Congress as a golden partner, bringing a number of activities to the Czech business. Six Czech and Slovak food importers presented at the trade fair to introduce Thai food, ingredients and products. A workshop on 'Authentic Thai Food' was held during the day by Chef Jan Davídek and Chef Antonín Bradáč, the winners of the international cooking competition Thailand Culinary World Challenge 2014. The Thai cooking demonstration was also running there all day long. 

Miss Yossavadee Kaevatana, Minister Counsellor on Commercial Affairs, emphasized at the Opening Ceremony that Thailand is not only the world class tourist destination, but also the influential base of food industry of Asia Pacific.  Moreover, Thailand places importance and holds huge potential in the service, hotel, restaurant and catering businesses. 

More than 600 entrepreneurs attended the 15th HOREKA Congress with a variety of involvements. 

'Originální thajská kuchyně' @HOREKA

25. dubna 2017 se thajské Obchodní zastoupení v Praze ve spolupráci s Thajským velvyslanectvím a Kanceláří Thajského cestovního ruchu aktivně účastnilo Kongresu HOREKA. HOREKA je pravidelná každoroční konference a veletrh na podporu hotelů, restaurací a cateringu v České republice.

Letos bylo Thajsko na Kongresu HOREKA jako zlatý partner, přinášející do českého podnikání řadu aktivit. Šest českých a slovenských dovozců potravin na veletrhu představilo thajské potraviny, ingredience a výrobky. V průběhu dne se konal workshop nazvaný 'Originální thajská kuchyně', který vedli pánové šéfkuchaři Jan Davídek a Antonín Bradáč, vítězové mezinárodní kuchařské soutěže Thailand Culinary World Challenge 2014. Celý den pak probíhaly ukázky přípravy thajských jídel.

Slečna Yossavadee Kaevatana, ministerská rada obchodního zastoupení, při zahájení zdůraznila, že Thajsko není pouze turistickou destinací světové třídy, ale také domovem vlivného potravinářského průmyslu asijsko-pacifické oblasti. Navíc Thajsko klade značný důraz na oblast služeb, hotelnictví a podnikání v oblasti restaurací a cateringu.

Na pořádání kongresu HOREKA se nejrůznějším způsobem podílelo více než 600 podnikatelů.
