H.E. Mr. Narong Sasitorn, Ambassador of Thailand to the Czech Republic, paid a visit to the Region of Olomouc during 21 – 23 January 2017.  He called on H.E. Dr. Oto Kosta, Governor of the Olomouc Region, and Mrs. Jitka Janeckova Motkova, Director of the Olomouc Regional Chamber of Commerce.  Also, H.E. the Ambassador had a meeting with H.E. Mr. Antonin Stanek, Mayor of Olomouc, who in turn hosted luncheon in his honour, and Mr. Jiri Uhlir, Director of the “Flora Olomouc” international horticultural exhibition.

During the meetings, they discussed a wide range of topics, from long-standing history of friendship between Thailand and the Czech Republic to present economic cooperation and potentials to enhance cooperation in the areas of education, culture and closer economic partnership.

Thailand will be a special guest country in the upcoming Flora Olomouc in April 2017.  While attending the said exhibition, H.E. the Ambassador will give presentation on economic cooperation between Thailand and the Czech Republic at a business roundtable discussion with the Olomouc Regional Chamber of Commerce.
