The Royal Thai Embassy in Prague has opened a book of condolences signing in remembrance of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej at the Embassy since 17 October 2016. 

H.E. Mr. Lubomir Zaoralek, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic, as a representative of the Czech Government, signs the book of condolences expressing deepest condolences to the Royal Family, the Government and the people of Thailand.  He also wrote that Thailand has lost “a figure of exceptional human qualities, a symbol of sustainable development and unity of Thailand”, who earned love and respect, not only from the Thai people, but the people around the world. The Czech Republic will remember His Majesty the King as the supporter of the Czech-Thai friendship.  

Mr. Jindrich Forejt, Director of Protocol of the Office of the President, as a representative of H.E. Mr. Milos Zeman, the President of the Czech Republic, and Mr. Petr Kynstetr, Secretary-General of the Chamber of Deputies, as a representative of Mr. Jan Hamacek, the President of the Chamber of Deputies, also sign the condolence book respectively.

Furthermore, H.E. Mr. Hynek Kmonicek, Director of the Foreign Office of the Office of the President, Mr. Pavel Dvorak, Head of the Office of Government, H.E. Mr. Marek Libricky, Director of Asia and Pacific, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Oldrich Lomecky, Mayor of Prague 1, Mr. Martin Svoboda, President of the Czech-Thai Chamber of Commerce, Mr. Jiri Skaba, Honorary President of the Czech-Thai Society, Mr. Lukas Martin, representative of the Confederation of Industry and Mr. Peter Ottich, President of the Muay Thai Association, also visited the Embassy to sign the condolence book. 

As of now, Ambassadors and representatives from 57 Embassies, 40 Czechs and 205 Thais residing in the Czech Republic also paid their respects in front of the portrait of His Majesty the King and sign the book. 

H.E. Mr. Milos Zeman, President of the Czech Republic, H.E. Mr. Bohuslav Sobotka, Prime Minister of the Czech Republic, and H.E. Mr. Zaoralek, have already sent messages of condolences to the Royal Family of Thailand, the Government and the people of Thailand through diplomatic channel.
