On 15 September 2016, H.E. Mr. Narong Sasitorn, Ambassador of Thailand to the Czech Republic, attended the opening ceremony of the Tourism Authority of Thailand, Prague Office, at the Quadrio Office Center, Prague, Czech Republic.  The ceremony was presided over by Mr. Kalin Sarasin, Chairman of the Board of the Tourism Authority of Thailand and attended by honoured guests from the Thai and Czech sides, such as H.E. Mrs. Kanthong Unakul, Ambassador of Thailand to the Republic of Hungary, Mr. Yuthasak Supasorn, Governor of the Tourism Authority of Thailand, Ms. Renata Králová, Director of the Tourism Department and representative of the Ministry of Regional Development of the Czech Republic, H.E. Mr. Marek Libřický, Director of the Asia and Pacific Department, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic, Mr. Ondřej Lomecký, Mayor of Prague 1, Mr. Radomil Dolezal, General Director of CzechTrade and Mrs. Monika Palatková, Managing Director of CzechTourism.

Mrs. Wiyada Srirangkul has been appointed as the first Director of the Tourism Authority of Thailand, Prague Office, with Mrs. Ruedee Cheawsamoot as the Assistant Director.  The Office’s coverage includes the Czech Republic, Bulgaria, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Slovakia and Ukraine.  The Office is located on the 5^th floor of Quadrio Office Center (address: Purkyňova 2121/3, 11000, Prague 1 email address: tatprague@tat.or.th).

Moreover, on 14 September 2016, the Tourism Authority of Thailand, Prague Office, also organized a road show activity to promote the tourism products of Thailand, which includes a business matching session for Thai and Czech entrepreneurs in the tourism sector.  On this occasion, H.E. Mr. Narong Sasitorn, Ambassador of Thailand to the Czech Republic, also graciously delivered an opening remarks at the reception of the roadshow which was actively attended by a great number of Czech tour operators.
