On 13 September 2016, H.E. Mr. Narong Sasitorn, Ambassador of Thailand to the Czech Republic, in his capacity as Chairman of the ASEAN Committee in Prague (ACP), together with H.E. Mr. Aulia Aman Rachman, Ambassador of Indonesia to the Czech Republic, H.E. Mrs. Nadzirah Osman, Ambassador of Malaysia to the Czech Republic, H.E. Mr. Victoriano M. Lecaros, Ambassador of the Philippines to the Czech Republic, and Mr. Vu Van Minh, Minister-Counsellor, Embassy of Vietnam to the Czech Republic, called on H.E. Mr. Lubomir Zaoralek, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic.  The joint call was made on the occasion of the ASEAN Day, 8 August 2016. 

Both sides exchanged views on the cordial relations between ASEAN and the EU as well as the Czech Republic.  The ASEAN side briefed the Czech side on the latest developments of ASEAN, and the past activities of the ACP in the Czech Republic and the activities planned for 2017 which is the 50th anniversary of the establishment of ASEAN.  While the ASEAN side thanked the Czech side for the support rendered to the ACP over the years, the Czech side expressed readiness to continue its full support for the ACP future activities.
