On 4 June 2016, the ASEAN Committee in Prague (ACP), the Czech Republic, comprising of the Royal Thai Embassy, Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia, Embassy of Malaysia, Embassy of the Republic of the Philippines and Embassy of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, participated in the “Festival of the Embassies: Food and Culture” organised by the Prague 6 Municipality Office at the Vitezne namesti.  The event provided foreign diplomatic missions situated in the Prague 6 area an opportunity to showcase their local food and products.  There were participating 33 missions from countries around the world, some of which also staged cultural performances.

H.E. Mr. Narong Sasitorn, Ambassador of Thailand to the Czech Republic, was invited to the stage to deliver a welcoming remarks on behalf of the Asian region and the ACP.  The organisation of the event was suggested by H.E. the Thai Ambassador by adapting from the weekly Farmers’ Market where Czech local goods and agricultural products are sold.  Over the past five years, the ACP regularly participated in the Farmers’ Market, with a view to promoting the visibility of ASEAN and its Members to the Czech general public.

The Festival of the Embassies was very successful.  There were approximately 8,000 people attending the event all through the day.

สถานเอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงปราก เข้าร่วมงาน Festival of the Embassies: Food and Culture

เมื่อวันที่ 4 มิถุนายน 2559 คณะกรรมการอาเซียนประจำกรุงปราก (ASEAN Committee in Prague – ACP) ประกอบด้วยสถานเอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงปราก และสถานเอกอัครราชทูตอินโดนีเซีย มาเลเซีย ฟิลิปปินส์ และเวียดนามประจำสาธารณรัฐเช็ก ได้เข้าร่วมกิจกรรม Festival of the Embassies: Food and Culture ที่บริเวณ Vitezne namesti จัดโดยสำนักงานเทศบาลกรุงปราก เขต 6 ซึ่งกิจกรรมดังกล่าวเป็นการออกร้านจำหน่ายอาหารและสินค้าท้องถิ่นโดยสถานเอกอัครราชทูตต่างประเทศประจำสาธารณรัฐเช็ก ซึ่งมีที่ตั้งอยู่ในเขต 6 ของกรุงปราก โดยมีสถานเอกอัครราชทูตต่างประเทศร่วมออกร้านจำนวน 33 ประเทศจากทุกภูมิภาคทั่วโลก รวมทั้งได้มีการจัดการแสดงทางวัฒนธรรมของประเทศต่าง ๆ บนเวทีกลางของงาน

นายณรงค์ ศศิธร เอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงปราก ได้รับเชิญเข้าร่วมพิธีเปิดงานและกล่าวต้อนรับผู้เข้าร่วมในฐานะผู้แทนของภูมิภาคเอเชียและ ACP โดยงานในครั้งนี้เกิดขึ้นจากข้อเสนอแนะของเอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงปราก โดยปรับรูปแบบจากกิจกรรมตลาดจำหน่ายผลิตภัณฑ์และผลิตผลทางการเกษตรท้องถิ่น (Farmers’ Market) ซึ่งสำนักงานเทศบาลกรุงปราก เขต 6 จัดขึ้นเป็นประจำทุกสัปดาห์ตลอดปีให้เป็นงานที่มีความหลากหลายจากการเข้าร่วมของสถานเอกอัครราชทูตประเทศต่าง ๆ มากยิ่งขึ้น ซึ่งในช่วง 5 ปีที่ผ่านมา ACP ได้เข้าร่วมกิจกรรม Farmers’ Market ของสำนักงานเทศบาลกรุงปราก เขต 6 อย่างสม่ำเสมอ โดยมีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อประชาสัมพันธ์เกี่ยวกับอาเซียนและประเทศสมาชิกให้สาธารณชนชาวเช็กได้รู้จักมากขึ้น

กิจกรรมดังกล่าวประสบความสำเร็จเป็นอย่างดี โดยมีประชาชนชาวเช็กและผู้สนใจเข้าร่วม จำนวนประมาณ 8,000 คน ตลอดทั้งวัน
