ฯพณฯ นายวิทวัส ศรีวิหค เอกอัครราชทูต  ณ กรุงปราก ได้เป็นประธานในพิธีทอดผ้าพระกฐินพระราชทาน ณ วัดป่าหลวงตามหาบัว ญาณสัมปันโน สาธารณรัฐเช็ก ที่เมือง Tyn เมื่อวันที่ 1 พฤศจิกายน 2557 โดยมีนางนที ชวนสนิท ประธานสมาคมพุทธภาคพื้นยุโรป ณ สาธารณรัฐเช็ก สมาชิกสมาคม ข้าราชการและเจ้าหน้าที่สถานเอกอัครราชทูต พุทธศาสนิกชนชาวไทยทั้งในสาธารณรัฐเช็ก เยอรมนี และสวิตเซอร์แลนด์ ร่วมในพิธี อิ่มบุญอิ่มใจกันถ้วนหน้า รวมถึงนายกเทศมนตรีเมือง Tyn ที่ให้เกียรติมาเข้าร่วมงานนี้ด้วย โดยครั้งนี้ถือเป็นการอัญเชิญผ้าพระกฐินพระราชทานมาทอดถวายเป็นครั้งแรกในสาธารณรัฐเช็ก วัดแห่งนี้ ได้รับการก่อตั้งขึ้นในปี 2557 เป็นวัดสายวัดป่าหลวงตามหาบัว ญาณสัมปันโน จังหวัดกาญจนบุรี ซึ่งการอัญเชิญผ้าพระกฐินพระราชทานมาทอดถวายนี้ เป็นไปเพื่อเป็นพุทธบูชา และเพื่อเฉลิมพระเกียรติพระบาทสมเด็จพระเจ้าอยู่หัว นอกจากนี้ ยังนับเป็นกิจกรรมเชิงสังคมและศาสนาที่ได้ช่วยสร้างเสริมมิตรภาพระหว่างไทยและสาธารณรัฐเช็กด้วย  

      On 1 November 2014, H.E. Mr. Vitavas Srivihok, Ambassador of Thailand to the Czech Republic presided over the Offering Ceremony of the Royal Kathina Robe, graciously bestowed by His Majesty the King through the Embassy and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, to the monk at the Tiger Temple in Tyn, the Czech Republic. The Ceremony is the first of its kind in the Czech Republic and was harmoniously attended by Mrs. Natee Chuansanit, the President of the Buddhist Theravada Association of the European Region in the Czech Republic, members of the Association, Embassy’s staffs, Thai Buddhists in the Czech Republic, Germany and Switzerland, as well as the Mayor of Tyn City. The Tiger Templein Tyn, the Czech Republic, was established in 2014 by the Tiger Temple in Karnchanaburi, Thailand. The Offering Ceremony of the Royal Kathina Rope is hoped to serve as a paying tribute to the glory of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej’s devotion in Buddhism and as a socio-religious event to enhance the friendship between Thailand and the Czech Republic.
