On 19 June 2026, H.E. Mr. Pichit Boonsud, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the Czech Republic, and his spouse participated in the opening ceremony of Amazing Thailand Festival 2026 at Smíchovská Náplavka, Prague, which was organised by Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), Prague Office to celebrate the 10th anniversary of its establishment. The Festival consisted of numerous Thai food and Thai product stalls, cultural performances, fun activities and information about Thailand, including an exhibition “Chud Thai: The Knowledge, Craftsmanship and Practices of the Thai National Costume”. In his opening remarks, the Ambassador highlighted northern Thailand, theme of the Festival, where there are lots of interesting tourist attractions while encouraging the audience to go exploring. At the same time, in light of the recent passing of H.R.H. Princess Bajrakitiyabha, the Ambassador spoke about H.R.H.'s benevolence and royal works that have contributed to the betterment of people, especially the vulnerable groups, including female inmates. All audience were then invited to a moment of silence to pay respects to H.R.H.

The Festival was a huge success and it had brought smile and happiness to visitors, even to make those who missed it feel real pity.
