With the success of the second Thai Film Festival in the Czech Republic this year on 11 April 2023, the Royal Thai Embassy in Prague organised a screening of "Love Destiny: the Movie" at the Edison Filmhub in Prague to celebrate the Thai Traditional New Year or “Songkran”. Attendees were invited by the Embassy to show their "Thainess" by dressing up in traditional Thai clothing or displaying images taken during their time in Thailand to win souvenirs from the Embassy and Tourism Authority of Thailand as well as vouchers from a Thai Restaurant. During the opening ceremony, H.E. Ms. Phasporn Sangasubana, Ambassador of Thailand to the Czech Republic presented in her opening remarks on the projected film, which reflected the joyful character of the Thai people as well as Thai culture and history. Her Excellency Ambassador further invited all Czechs to visit Thailand as the destination of love and happiness, accompanied by Thailand’s magnificent sceneries and exquisite cuisine. Furthermore, the Tourism Authority of Thailand, Prague Office joined us to showcase the Thailand booth as well as the Thai Trade Center in Prague was also present to promote the Thai select award. The film was well received by the audiences with approximately 80 Thai and Czech people attending. As a result, the Royal Thai Embassy wishes to thank everyone for being part of our Thai movie screening to share our joy and laughter. We hope to see you again in Prague next year.
