As part of its efforts to support local people in need, on 1 March 2023, the ASEAN Committee in Prague (ACP) made a donation of food and non-food items to the Czech Federation of Food Banks. During the event, H.E. Ms. Phasporn Sangasubana, the Thai Ambassador to the Czech Republic and the current rotating chair of the ACP expressed the willingness of the ACP to work with the Food Banks to help those in most need. Furthermore, Her Excellency Ambassador wished that the ACP's charitable efforts will continue for many more years.

The CEO of the Czech Federation of Food Banks, Ms. Veronika Lachova, praised the ACP's continuous contribution and noted that over time, donations from embassies of the ASEAN Member States have developed into a meaningful activity. The donation, which consists of both food and non-food goods, will be given out to those in need throughout the Czech Republic, especially single parents, children, and underprivileged families.

The ACP's donation to the Czech Federation of Food Banks is an outstanding illustration of how countries and organisations may work together to support local communities. It emphasises the significance of collaboration and the need for international cooperation in addressing the current challenges facing our world today.
