On 21 February 2023, H.E. Ms. Phasporn Sangasubana, Ambassador of Thailand to the Czech Republic, together with Ms. Thanawan Kasee, the Director of the Tourism Authority of Thailand, Prague Office, met with Ms. Ing. Andrea Pfeffer Ferklová, MBA, Mayor of Karlovy Vary. Since Karlovy Vary hosts an annual international film festival and is a famous spa destination, both sides engaged in a fruitful discussion regarding the possibility of collaboration in the fields of cinema and tourism. Her Excellency Ambassador also thanks the Mayor's Office for its support in promoting the well-received Thai film festival, which was held for the first time in Karlovy Vary on 20 February 2023. To commemorate the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Thailand and the Czech Republic next year, Her Excellency Ambassador took this occasion to explore further cooperation in the field of cinema with the city of Karlovy Vary.
