ASEAN Committee in Prague's contribution to the Czech Federation of Food Banks

On 26 April 2021, H.E. Ms. Phasporn Sangasubana Ambassador-Designate of the Kingdom of Thailand to the Czech Republic, together with the ASEAN Committee in Prague which comprises of ASEAN Ambassadors in the Czech Republic; namely, Indonesia, Philippines, Vietnam, Chargé d'affaires of Myanmar, and representative of Malaysian Embassy, contributed food and necessary products in order to support the work of the Czech Federation of Food Banks at their logistic center in Prague. The ASEAN Committed in Prague was received by Ms. Veronika Láchová, Director of the Czech Federation of Food Banks, Mr. Rostislav Ráček, Project Manager of the Czech Federation of Food Banks and Ms. Dana Růžičková, Director of the logistic center of the Czech Federation of Food Banks in Prague.
Czech Federation of Food Banks was established in 2005. It is a non-profit organisation which has an active role in helping the underprivileged such as seniors, homeless, disabled, and single fathers/mothers.
The ASEAN Committee in Prague’s contribution which supports the work of the Czech Confederation of Food Banks is part of the Committee’s activities to create better awareness of ASEAN and its active role in the Czech Republic as a host country.
Moreoever, this activity is an opportunity for the Committee to cooperate with local authorities and private sectors to reduce hunger and malnutrition including promoting the well-being of the underprivileged and fighting against COVID-19 in the Czech Republic.
