ASEAN lecture on "ASEAN's Economic Powerhouse Amidst Strategic Power Balance and Diversity" at the University of Economics Prague

On 3 December 2019, H.E. Mrs. Ureerat Chareontoh, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the Czech Republic and the Chairperson of the ASEAN Committee in Prague (ACP), assigned Ms. Nattanipa Burusapat, Minister Counsellor, and Ms. Kakanang Amranand, Counsellor, Royal Thai Embassy, to join the ACP in attending the ASEAN lecture on the topic of 'ASEAN's Economic Powerhouse Amidst Strategic Power Balance and Diversity' at the University of Economics Prague. The ASEAN ambassadors and representatives were welcomed by Mrs. Ludmila Sterbova, Vice Rector of the University of Economics, Prague.  Ms. Burusapat, on behalf of the Chairperson of the ACP, delivered a lecture about the history of the foundation of ASEAN, ASEAN community, Thailand's ASEAN Chairmanship and the outcome of the 34th and 35th of ASEAN Summits in Thailand.
 
After the lecture, all ASEAN ambassadors and representatives were invited to a meeting with Mr. Josef Tauser, Dean of International Relations Faculty, Mrs. Zuzana Stuchlikova, Director of the Centre of Asian Studies, to discuss further academic cooperation in the future. 
 
This ASEAN lecture was part of the activities of the ACP which derived from the cooperation between the ASEAN embassies in Prague and the Faculty of International Relations, Centre of Asian Studies, University of Economics, Prague.
