The Counsellor of the Royal Thai Embassy visited the High School of Tourism and International Trade

On 15 October 2019, H.E. Mrs. Ureerat Chareontoh, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the Czech Republic, assigned Ms. Kakanang Amranand, Counsellor of the Royal Thai Embassy, Prague, to visit the High School of Tourism and International Trade (VOŠ cestovniho ruchu a mezínárodního obchodního styku) in Prague, in which Mr. Libor Bastl, Headmaster of the School was present to welcome.  In addition, students handcrafted impressive presentation boards about different topics and regions of Thailand along the School’s corridors.

Ms. Amranand organised a lecture about Thailand in various fields including geography, population, art, local culture and tradition, Thai cuisine, and important landmarks of Thailand. On this occasion, around 50 students and teachers joined the presentation and also asked several follow up questions about Thailand, i.e., how to travel to and inside Thailand, numbers of tourists, family size, Thai cuisine and Thai herbal drinks. After the lecture, the Royal Thai Embassy distributed Thai papaya salad from the Thai Ambassador’s residence to students and teachers to taste which was very popular and liked among all participants.

High School of Tourism and International Trade is a highschool/vocational school in Prague which offers courses in business, tourism, hotel management, marketing. Currently, there is 160 students. The school also offers foreign language courses in, for example, Chinese, Japanese, and German.
