Thailand in Focus :: Achievements of Thai MFA in the past 6 months

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) today made known its key achievements of the past 6 months.
According to the MFA, it has held various events to promote and honor the royal family, which included His Majesty the King’s Birthday celebrations held at Thai embassies worldwide on December 5th last year.
The MFA also organized a traditional Thai dance in Beijing to celebrate Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn’s 60th Birthday Anniversary during the princesses' visit to China
In addition, Thai ambassadors worldwide have been encouraged to promote correct understanding of the Thai royal family to the global community.
In terms of political situations in Thailand, the MFA has raised awareness among foreign countries on the Thai government’s road map, resulting in a number of leaders of various nations visiting Thailand in the past 6 months.
Those international community leaders have shown more confidence in Thailand; some countries have even lowered travel advisories against traveling to the Kingdom.
The MFA has also taken a proactive approach in strengthening bilateral relationships with other nations through visits and participation in various international summits and conferences, added the Ministry spokesperson. Source: National News Bureau of Thailand
