On 23 June 2016, H.E. Mr. Narong Sasitorn, Ambassador of Thailand to the Czech Republic, hosted luncheon for the Ambassadors of the Asian Group with H.E. Dr. Lubomir Zaoralek, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic, as guest of honour.  Also present were 11 Asian Ambassadors and Charge d’ Affaires to the Czech Republic and senior officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic.

During the luncheon, both sides exchanged views on the furtherance of the relations and cooperation between Asia and Europe, Czech foreign policy towards Asia and international issues critical to Europe, for instance the Brexit referendum, migration crisis in Europe, and Europe’s economic and financial situation.

The group of Asian Ambassadors is currently chaired by the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea.  The meeting of the group is held monthly, which respective Asian Embassies take turn to host the luncheon.  Guests of honour from the Czech side are invited to participate with a view to strengthening the ties between Asia and the Czech Republic and providing opportunity for both sides to listen to and exchange views on the issues of mutual interest.  In the past, the Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies, Ministers, Advisers to the President, and Advisers to the Prime Minister of the Czech Republic were invited to attend as the guests of honour.

เอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงปราก เป็นเจ้าภาพงานเลี้ยงอาหารกลางวันเอกอัครราชทูตกลุ่มประเทศเอเชียประจำสาธารณรัฐเช็ก โดยมีรัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการต่างประเทศเช็ก เป็นแขกเกียรติยศ

เมื่อวันที่ 23 มิถุนายน 2559 นายณรงค์ ศศิธร เอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงปราก ได้เป็นเจ้าภาพงานเลี้ยงอาหารกลางวันเอกอัครราชทูตกลุ่มประเทศเอเชียประจำสาธารณรัฐเช็ก โดยมีนาย Lubomír Zaorálek  รัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการต่างประเทศเช็ก เป็นแขกเกียรติยศ และมีเอกอัครราชทูตและอุปทูตประเทศเอเชียประจำสาธารณรัฐเช็กเข้าร่วม 11 ประเทศ รวมทั้งผู้บริหารระดับสูงของกระทรวงการต่างประเทศเช็ก

ในระหว่างงานเลี้ยงอาหารกลางวัน ทั้งสองฝ่ายได้แลกเปลี่ยนความคิดเห็นเกี่ยวกับการส่งเสริมความสัมพันธ์และความร่วมมือระหว่างภูมิภาคเอเชียกับยุโรป และนโยบายการต่างประเทศเช็กต่อเอเชีย รวมทั้งประเด็นระหว่างประเทศที่มีความสำคัญต่อยุโรป เช่น การลงประชามติเรื่องสมาชิกภาพในสหภาพยุโรปของสหราชอาณาจักร วิกฤตผู้อพยพในยุโรป และปัญหาเศรษฐกิจและการเงินของยุโรป

ปัจจุบัน เอกอัครราชทูตกลุ่มประเทศเอเชียประจำสาธารณรัฐเช็กมีเอกอัครราชทูตสาธารณรัฐเกาหลีเป็นประธานกลุ่ม และจัดการพบปะระหว่างกันเป็นประจำทุกเดือน โดยสถานเอกอัครราชทูตกลุ่มประเทศเอเชียประจำสาธารณรัฐเช็กผลัดกันเป็นเจ้าภาพงานเลี้ยงรับรองอาหารกลางวัน และเชิญแขกเกียรติยศฝ่ายเช็กเข้าร่วม เพื่อกระชับความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างฝ่ายเอเชียกับฝ่ายเช็ก และเป็นโอกาสในการรับฟังท่าทีและแลกเปลี่ยนข้อคิดเห็นเกี่ยวกับประเด็นที่ทั้งสองฝ่ายมีความสนใจร่วมกัน ซึ่งที่ผ่านมา ประธานสภาผู้แทนราษฎร รัฐมนตรี ที่ปรึกษาประธานาธิบดี และที่ปรึกษานายกรัฐมนตรีได้รับเชิญเป็นแขกเกียรติยศเข้าร่วม
