On 28 February 2026, H.E. Mr. Pichit Boonsud, Ambassador of Thailand to the Czech Republic, and spouse were invited to a luncheon hosted by the Thai delegation from Phuket Provincial Administrative Organization and Phuket Tourist Association at Rattanakosin Thai Food Restaurant in Prague on the occasion of their visit to the Czech Republic. Ms. Cholada Siddhivarn, Director of Tourism Authority of Thailand, Prague Office and Mr. Supsin Chimplee, Minister-Counsellor of the Royal Thai Embassy were also present and joined the luncheon. The Ambassador took this opportunity to discuss and exchange views with Mr. Nirat Phongsittithawon, Governor of Phuket Province, who headed of delegation on ways to promote Phuket and Thailand tourism in the Czech Republic. Currently, the number of Czech travellers to Thailand has been on the rise, particulary to the paradise island of Phuket, because of its world-renowned beaches and various activities to enjoy as well as tourist safety.
